Welcome to Sidestrand Hall School. On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website. We hope that you find it useful and that it will give you some insight in to our school.

We are a warm and welcoming school with 193 students currently on roll. Sidestrand Hall School is a special provision, for students aged 7 to 19 years with a diverse range of Learning Difficulties. We are situated in Sidestrand, the School stands in 15 acres of land on the North Norfolk Coast. We are lucky to be within easy access of our local community Cromer, with whom we are proud to have many links.

Our school vision is to inspire each child to achieve excellence in their learning and personal development in a happy and safe environment. We offer a  balanced curriculum supporting the development of the student throughout  their time with us. All pupils follow the National Curriculum adapted to their  needs and the extended curriculum offers opportunities to extend their  learning beyond the classroom.

Our aim is to support their development in independence and skills for life. In this we ensure each child can excel, reach their full potential and are well-equipped and prepared for the next stage of their education and adulthood.

We are incredibly proud of all our pupils. Our mission statement demonstrates our purpose as moving ‘Achievement beyond Expectation’. Every student at the school has an Education, Healthcare Plan (EHCP) and, while delivering a curriculum that is rich and linked to the accredited courses we offer, staff work tirelessly to ensure the targets within plans are met.

Teaching and learning at the school is supported by our dedicated staff and a range of specialist facilities on site including provision for outdoor learning, woods with a bike trail, a go-kart track, construction workshops, Science lab, Food Technology room, along with a purpose built Sixth Form. We are also fortunate to have residential units. Our skilled and committed staff guide and support pupils through a range of learning experiences which provide them  with the skills, knowledge and qualifications they need that will support them to become active citizens within their communities.

I hope you find everything you need to know about our school on the website. If you would like to visit or have any questions please do contact us.
