Volunteer Shop Assistants needed for Strands Charity Shop, Cromer
Sidestrand Hall School is a state maintained school for pupils with complex educational needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and communication difficulties and emotional and social difficulties.
Strands charity shop was opened in 2013 and funds raised from it increase opportunities and enhance the education of the pupils at our School. The shop also provides work experience
opportunities for our students to help develop their independence and life skills.
We are looking to add to our brilliant team of shop volunteers.
We need cheerful and trustworthy volunteers who can offer help:-
Sorting the donations brought into the shop
Steaming garments
Tagging and pricing items ready for sale
Assisting/serving customers and taking payments (using an electronic till)
Opening and closing the shop
Displaying items for sale and keeping the shop and ancillary areas clean and tidy
Training and support will be provided initially through the Shop Manager. Recruitment and induction will be handled by the School and will be subject to the normal school recruitment process including safe recruitment checks and an interview to establish suitability.
