Sidestrand Hall School is a vibrant Complex Needs setting for pupils aged 7–19, and we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated Cleaner to join our dedicated team. About the role:
You will help maintain high levels of cleanliness across the school, ensuring classrooms, communal areas and facilities are kept safe and hygienic. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, trustworthy and enjoys contributing to a purposeful environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • To clean designated area of school to a high standard
  • To replenish all sanitary materials
  • To periodically clean other designated areas
  • To ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean and in a good working order
  • To comply and follow all Health and Safety policies and procedures i.e. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH etc.
  • To perform other duties of a like nature as required by the Headteacher
  • To undertake annual training i.e. Keeping Children Safe in Education

  • Ability to use your own initiative and work independently

Consideration of the role:

This physically active role involves regular bending, lifting, carrying, standing, and moving around the site for extended periods. Applicants should ensure they are comfortable with the physical demands of the position before applying.
