Scale D point 5-6 – Permanent £18,491 – £18,800 per annum

Hourly Rate £12.18 – £12.38  (£23,500-£23,893 FTE)

34 hrs a week, term time plus one week only

Sidestrand Hall School is a Complex Needs school providing education to pupils aged 7-19 years. We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants, with a genuine passion for supporting students with a variety of complex special educational needs.

Pupil Profile: Varied, including speech and communication difficulties, autistic spectrum condition, social and emotional mental health needs, and learning difficulties.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to learners with a range of complex special educational needs.
  • Support students with speech and communication difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions, social and emotional mental health needs, and learning difficulties.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational activities and interventions.
  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the assessment and tracking of student progress.

Candidate Profile:

  • Enthusiastic and motivated individual with a genuine interest in working with learners with special educational needs.
  • Flexible approach to work, able to adapt to the varying needs of students.
  • Experience and understanding of special educational needs, autistic spectrum disorder, and safeguarding.
  • Highly motivated with a commitment to supporting student development.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Committed to their own professional development, with a willingness to learn and grow in their role as a Teaching Assistant.
