This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a residential team, providing high quality care for pupils on the Autistic Spectrum. Clement Lodge is a residential provision on the site of Sidestrand Hall School, providing 4 nights (Monday to Thursday inclusive) residence, term time only.
The waking night staff ensure the safe keeping and general well-being of the pupils throughout the night. When the residents are asleep, waking night staff undertake tasks to help in the running of the house, such as tidying, cleaning, administrative work and any other duties that may be required. The role is mainly lone working with a sleep-in member of staff as support.
Candidates should have knowledge of basic child care but experience in a similar post is not essential as we provide induction and training along with professional supervision.
To be successful in this role you will be capable of working independently and part of a wider team providing 24hr care. The right candidate will be confident, motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential and above all you will be someone with a desire to help others.
Sidestrand Hall is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. To this end, you may be required to undergo pre-employment checks.
