School re-opening information

***updated 4.1.21

Dear  Parents/carers,

I hope you have all managed to have some sort of celebration and family time.

I am sure you have seen in the news the restrictions for TIER 4 which means the school loses 10 staff to shielding and we have other staff self isolating, this means we have 14 staff unavailable for work in school.

In addition to this the School has to prepare for the Testing programme the Government is asking all schools to administer and therefore the Government is allowing greater flexibility in the first 2 weeks of the Term.

For these reasons we will not be re-opening for all students.  Staff will be in touch with all families to ensure you are up to date on our remote learning offer. The school has invested £4000 on access to new on line learning packages and the students were practising with these before the holidays.

Monday January 4th and Tuesday January 5th –  The school will be closed to all pupils for staff training and preparation for Testing Programme. (All parents will be receiving a letter of consent to complete)

Wednesday January 6th – Friday January 8th – school will be open to all Primary children, children of previously identified critical workers and Bay Class. Remote learning for all other Year groups.

Clement Lodge will be open for boarding but NOT the main house residential units.

Monday January 11th – Friday January 15thschool will be open to all Primary children, Years 10 and 11 students,  children of previously identified critical workers and Bay Class. Remote learning for all other Year groups.

Clement Lodge will be open for boarding but NOT the main house residential units.

Arrangements for Monday 18th January 2021 will follow later.

Please be assured that all of the steps we are taking are to protect our students and staff as much as we possibly can through these difficult times.

Many thanks for your continued support and let’s hope that 2021 soon brings us some happier and healthier times.

Best Regards

Sarah Young and Shelley Taylor
