The school is seeking to appoint a Residential Deputy Manager.  This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our professional and committed residential team.

The residential provision is consistently judged as Good by Ofsted. We pride ourselves on the high quality of care that our pupils receive and their progress in both social and educational outcomes that can be clearly evidenced.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate continued professional development and the required qualifications as detailed in the application pack. Experience and a working knowledge of the National Minimum Standards and Ofsted are desirable.

Candidates should have:

  • Relevant experience of working with children complex needs.
  • The Level 3 Diploma Children and Young Peoples Workforce or be prepared to work towards it.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience at a senior level in social care, educational or health setting.
  • The ability to use their own initiative and a commitment to ensuring our pupils have the best opportunities to prepare them for adult life.

Sidestrand Hall provides weekly residential opportunities for pupils aged 7-19 years with complex needs and associated emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The shift pattern will include 4 breakfast times and 4 whole evenings between Monday afternoon and Friday morning. Some office time will be included to meet the requirements of the role.

The recruitment process will comprise of a two day interview. Day 1 will be a Warner interview and successful candidates will then progress to Day 2 for the main interview for the Post of Deputy Residential Manager.

Closing date and shortlisting : Friday 13th December 2019, 9am.
Warner Interview date: Tuesday 14th January 2020
Main Interview: Wednesday 15th January 2020
