2 x TEACHING ASSISTANT – GR9014 – MATERNITY COVER

[Scale D, Point 14-17 Permanent]

37 hrs a week Term Time

Start Date: Jan 2018

The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to cover maternity leave. Candidates should be flexible and have an interest in working with learners with a range of complex special educational needs.

Candidates will ideally have experience and understanding of child development, special educational needs, autistic spectrum disorder, safeguarding and a relevant personalised curriculum.  Applicants will be able to demonstrate a commitment to working with children, their families and the school.

“These appointments are temporary and will be to cover the post of Teacher Assistant whilst the substantive post holder is on maternity leave. They have an expected duration of 6-12 months or will cease on the return or resignation of the substantive post holder if this is earlier. Due to the nature of this post it is not possible to specify an exact duration but the continuing requirement for this post will be regularly reviewed and you will be given notice of any change in your circumstances in writing.”
